Individual Therapy

The 500-pound elephant in the room is sitting on your chest.

These are supposed to be the “good” years – yet you’re miserable.

Full of despair. Deep down, you fear you will never again be happy.

You did what you’ve always done – worked harder. You upped your running, meditation, implemented productivity hacks, and put in long hours at work.

You understand how fucked up the system is while also trying insanely hard to find some peace within it. You fantasized that if you could be better than everyone else and achieve more, then you could find a sense of self-worth and ease.

But it didn’t work. Nothing is working. This hopelessness is the worst.

You want…

…direction in your life. You want to know how to listen to yourself better to move toward the things that give you pleasure – and avoid the things that cause you pain.

You want to find comfort in yourself. And learn to like and maybe even love yourself.

“You are capable of a different life.”

What you want from a therapist…

Someone who will see beyond the surface façade you present to the world.

You want a therapist who won’t buy it when you pretend you’ve got most things figured out – one who can assist you in facing the parts of your life ignored for so long because they are terrifying and overwhelming.

You also want a therapist who will see the incredible strengths you DO possess; a therapist who will admire you for the resilience and tenacity you have – one who supports you in fighting for what you want for yourself.

Therapy works like Magic!

(I’m Just Kidding.)

Here’s what to expect from therapy.

Therapy begins with a consultation. You and I will take 20 minutes before our first session to talk on the phone. This time provides an opportunity for me to learn more about why you want my help and for you to ask any questions or address any concerns. I’ll make sure that I can help you.

Weekly sessions begin. We will meet weekly for 45- or 60-minute sessions to do long-term, in-depth therapy work. Currently, I am only working on ZOOM.

Therapy sessions with me can be intense. I work best with highly motivated people who are willing to create change and address the long-standing pain in their life. Together, we will create a plan to help get you from point A to point B.

I will check in frequently to make sure that you’re making the progress you want to be making. If you’re not, we’ll brainstorm together and determine what we can do differently to help you get a better result.

Treatment helps you believe in yourself and your future again.

With successful therapy, you will know what you want from life.

You can stop procrastinating and work toward your goals. You can make and keep plans with friends and lovers and use your excitement about an idea to keep you moving forward.

You can stop hating yourself and even begin to love that courageous, damaged goofball you see in the mirror.

You will feel hopeful and excited!
